Johannesburg, South Africa — Avo Vision is proud to be part of the 2026 Nedbank Top Empowerment Conference and Awards as a Showcase Sponsor, joining leading organisations committed to advancing South Africa’s transformation, inclusion, enterprise development, skills development and measurable social impact agenda.
Taking place on 17 and 18 June 2026 at the Sandton Convention Centre, the conference will be held under the theme “The Next Phase of Transformation: Inclusive, Investable, Impactful.” This year’s theme strongly aligns with Avo Vision’s work in creating sustainable communities through enterprise development, consumer financial education, accredited training programmes, work placements and impact-driven partnerships.
Avo Vision’s participation comes at a significant moment as the organisation celebrates 30 Years of Impact, marking three decades of working with partners, including Nedbank,to support communities, entrepreneurs and institutions through practical development solutions. This milestone reinforces Avo Vision’s commitment to moving beyond conversations about transformation towards implementation that is measurable, inclusive and sustainable.
Avo Vision’s long-standing partnership with Nedbank has also demonstrated the power of collaboration in addressing some of South Africa’s most pressing social and environmental challenges.
Through this partnership, meaningful impact has already been achieved in rural communities in the Eastern Cape, with 24 businesses supported, 343 jobs created, 219hectares of land cleared and restored, and over 400 million litres of water saved. These outcomes reflect what becomes possible when transformation is approached not only as a commitment, but as a practical, measurable and community-centred intervention.
Through its work across South Africa, Avo Vision continues to contribute to transformation by supporting small businesses, strengthening financial literacy, developing skills, restoring livelihoods and enabling inclusive growth in communities that need it most.
“True transformation happens when institutions at all levels of society are strong – from the most grassroots with humble resources to the most complex with significant resources. Impact cannot only be measured by intention and activity; it must be measured by outcomes that improve lives, strengthen enterprises and strengthenscommunities towards self-sufficiency” said Khwezi Fudu-Cenenda, Director: Enterprise& Supplier Development at Avo Vision.
The 2026 Nedbank Top Empowerment Conference and Awards will bring together leaders and organisations driving progress in key areas such as enterprise development, gender equality, skills development, social impact and inclusive economic growth.
Henry Sebata, Avo Vision’s Chief Executive Officer “As we celebrate 30 years of impact, our focus remains firmly on growing our partner network and engaged stakeholder participation to deliver practical, measurable and sustained change. Doing so requires passion and deep commitment to solving South Africa’s critical challenges through unlocking individuals’ agency and enterprises that are given the tools, knowledge, support and the opportunity to build sustainable futures for themselves, long after interventions.”
“Avo Vision’s participation as a Showcase Sponsor provides an opportunity to share our work, connect with like-minded stakeholders and contribute to conversations on how transformation can be implemented in ways that are inclusive, investable and impactful” says Sebata.
As the transformation landscape continues to evolve, Avo Vision remains committed to working with partners who are committed to building sustainable enterprises, financially resilient communities, skilled individuals and inclusive economies.
