Avo Visions National Campaign “900 in One Day” campaign anchors Money Smart Week South Africa 2026 on 26 August, paired with a Women’s Month enterprise-skills partnership with HIVSA.
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 20 August 2026 – Avo Vision, a proudly South African skills development and enterprise social impact business, is part of this years Money Smart Week (MSWSA) 2026 held under the theme “Money Smart: The Power of Possible.” and is the business’ commitment to placing women at the centre of financial resilience and community impact.
The initiative, branded “900 in One Day,” forms the flagship activation of Avo’s support for the MSWSA 2026, and will activate its national network of training partners on 26 August 2026, to train 900 people in practical financial literacy in a single coordinated day, with sessions delivered simultaneously across all nine of South Africa’s provinces.
Delivered through Avo Vision’s national network of trainers, the campaign will roll out Money Module 5: Boosting My Income, a course designed to help participants explore additional income opportunities, strengthen their understanding of money management and make more informed financial decisions.
“Reaching 900 people in nine provinces in one day is not just about the number, it is proof of what a coordinated trainer network and a standardised approach to financial education can achieve at scale,” said Antoinette Mthetwa, Project Manager, Avo Vision. “Every person who walks out of one of these sessions will have practical tools to think differently about income and money management.”
Money Smart Week South Africa (MSWSA) runs from 24 to 30 August 2026, and Avo Vision’s national delivery day on 26 August forms part of a week of activity encouraging South Africans to build stronger financial habits.
Since 2009, Avo Vision has trained over 650 000 individuals in consumer financial education and skills training and supported over 2736 start-up and micro businesses.
A Women’s Month partnership with HIVSA
Alongside the national campaign, Avo Vision will partner with HIVSA, a South African non-clinical organisation established in 2002 that works with communities on health and social development, to deliver a one-day enterprise-skills programme in Johannesburg South on 26 August 2026.
Sixty-four women identified through HIVSA will complete Avo Vision’s Boosting My Income module, focused on entrepreneurial thinking, building viable income-generating activities and establishing the basics of running a small business.
“Providing women and girls with financial literacy is the fulcrum point that enables sustained economic independence, allowing women to take charge of their destiny,” said Rona Steffens, Programme Lead, HIVSA.
